Time Assuages

April 2007 — 17x28

Growing up on the flood plain of the Otter Creek I saw this view every spring.  I was always taken by the reflections, the shapes and the mystery  of  “what’s underneath  it all”  knowing very well that it was a hay field.  It just seemed like there was so much more going on and the the fact that nature was always in control made me realize at a very early age that you take what comes your way and wait and see what happens. This is what inspired me to create a series of floodplain paintings.
